SOCIAL JUSTICE

Leading the 2026 Mandate for Equality

WSLSA

THE 2026 COMMITTEE

Introduced as a cornerstone of the WSLSA evolution, the Social Justice portfolio represents our commitment to retaining inclusivity and promoting social equality. We serve as the legislative and social voice for the marginalized, the diverse, and the future.

First Nations Inclusion

Equitable Access & Cultural Safety

The First Nations Inclusion Officer supports students by promoting cultural safety and meaningful inclusion. The role focuses on addressing systemic barriers and providing culturally informed guidance to support Indigenous success within the legal profession.

International Students

Global Advocacy & Welfare

Representing the voices of international scholars, this role identifies academic and social issues, liaising with the School of Law to advocate for wellbeing and mental health while fostering connections across our diverse student community.

LGBTQ+ Representation

Inclusion & Safety Protocols

Focused on creating safe environments, the LGBTQ Officer ensures that all students feel represented and supported, allowing them to engage confidently in both academic and professional legal settings.

DIRECT ADVOCACY

The Social Justice Portfolio acts as the bridge between the student body and the faculty leadership. Whether you seek academic reform or personal support, your inquiry is treated with absolute discretion.
